To put it mildly, wearing dentures can be a bit of an adjustment for some people. A few patients have found dentures to be large and/or wobbly appliances, and getting used to them can be frustrating. To help you during this adjustment period, we’ve assembled the following data about how to wear false teeth the right way.
-Ensure that you are wearing your false teeth constantly after you first get them. Your oral cavity will need to put in some time to acquaint with the sensation of wearing dentures.
-You might have heard of denture glue, but do not use this unless we’ve specifically instructed you to do so! If we’ve advised you to use denture adhesive, follow all of our instructions on application and removal.
-Don’t forget to remove your dentures before you go to sleep.
-After removing your false teeth, brush them cautiously and place them in a mixture of water and denture cleaner.
-Do not fidget with your false teeth or try to alter them to fit differently.
